Built in 1948 by the Milwaukee Road as 1 of 2 business cars that were ordered in May 1947, the other being the MILWAUKEE; both cars were delivered in December 1948 and were the last cars built by the MILW shops. The MILWAUKEE was sold in 1977, and is now owned by the Friends of the 261, the WISCONSIN was sold at an unknown date and at one time carried the name STANLEY E.G.
