Description:  After finishing some volunteer work, I was near the K Line. Hearing a passinmg train, I decided to go look. Spotted a freight crossing the Mo River bridge, and headed for Hwy 94. I was not ready for the thermal inversion that I encountered. This mixed freight appeared, and just as quickly disappeared........

Description:  BNSF 6856 leads this St. Louis to Galesburg freight up the BNSF Hannibal Sub. (K-Line) as it crosses Missouri Highway M south of Elsberry, Mo. The second motor was a fairly new NS rebuilt AC44C6M #4036. Ill admit this one caught me by surprise and was fortunate enough to be here when it arrived.
