Here is an image of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6174, a J-1 (2-10-4) "Texas" built in Juniata during October of 1944 and retired in October of 1957 after just 13 years of revenue service. It's the last "Texas" produced by the PRR. Partially visible at the far right is the East Altoona Coaling Tipple. The photographer's name and the exact date are not recorded. |
