| Aerotrain. Here is an image of a photo by Edward Kaspriske that was taken at the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, in 1956. Shown here is the Pennsylvania Railroad's "Aerotrain," built by General Motors during July of 1955. It's just departed the Altoona Passenger Station, and is rounding the Curve while climbing the Allegheny Mountains on its daily sojourn from New York City to Pittsburgh and back.
