Prominent here is an unidentified Pennsylvania Railroad steam locomotive pushing a string of freight cars onto the Hollidaysburg Branch in order to service the warehouses located along that branch line. At the far right, a westbound diesel-powered passenger train is slowing to a stop adjacent to the Altoona Station's trainshed. Photo taken from the 17th Street Bridge. |
