During the 1960’s the Southern Railway had five transfer cabooses assigned to New Orleans: XC8, XC9, XC15, XC 7872 and XC7874. The use of these cars was discontinued around 1970; but on 2 October 1973, the first three were still parked at the north end of OLIVER YARD. |
