| Personal PC. Here is a postal card entitled "The Iron Horse In Retirement." Postmarked: 1 August 1961. Sent to me by James W. Young, a chemist at the PRR's Altoona Test Plant. Caption On Reverse: "This is the last steam locomotive run on the Maine Central Railroad. Final trip was Portland to Bangor and return on June 13, 1954.
