WVRR LS-750 #25 - Whitewater Valley RR
Originally built by the Lima-Hamilton Company in June of 1951 for the Cincinnati Union Terminal, this unit ended up in passenger service for the Whitewater Valley RR. According to Wikipeida, Lima-Hamilton never gave its locomotives model numbers in the ordinary sense. The model designations shown were created by railroad buffs using an L for Lima, S, RS, or T for switcher, roadswitcher, or transfer, followed by a number representing the horsepower. As of 2017, this loco was still on the property and looking even better than it does in my photo.
