Here is the front side of a "Vanishing Vistas" portrait that was published by Lyman E. Cox in 1974. Photo courtesy of GM-EMD. Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9690 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All are EH-15's built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9690 was constructed as an EH-15 in April of 1949, later regeared and classified as an EF-15A, and retired in October of 1967 after just 18 years of revenue service.
