Southern No. 219         
On Saturday afternoon 26 May 1979 Southern Railway southbound intermodal train 219 struck a vehicle at the North Boulevard grade crossing in Slidell, Louisiana. After a delay for the police investigation, the train got underway again, and here is caboose X704 as the train headed for New Orleans. The train included SD35’s 3071 and 3046, SD45 3160 and 43 cars.
