| After a slew of bad luck between San Antonio and Houston, which included the failure of the lead Amtrak unit, adding a UP freight locomotive, the failure of the UP freight locomotive, and the removal of both the UP freight unit and the lead Amtrak unit, the eastbound Sunset Limited was down to just one locomotive and had lost a lot of time on its schedule. Here, the 6 hour late Sunset Limited rolls eastward on Main 2 of UP's Glidden Subdivision in Sugar Land, TX, about 25 miles southwest of Houston. |
