Louisiana & North West GP7 number 50 and F7A 46 were parked outside the railroad’s diesel shop at Gibsland, Louisiana. The 50 was built in June 1953 as Union Pacific 711, and was later renumbered UP 111. After it was retired it was traded-in to General Electric, and the L&NW bought it from GE in 1981. F7A 46 was built in July 1952 as Southern Pacific 6378. After it was traded-in to GE it became Wellsville Addison & Galeton 2100 in 1968 and then L&NW 46. It went to the Golden Gate Railroad Museum in March 2000. |
