PRR 2219, EF-22, 1963
24th Street. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 11 October 1963. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #2219, #7008, #7147, and #7230. All were built by EMD. #2219 is an EF-22 built in 1963 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. #7008, #7147, and #7230 are EFS-17M's rated at 1,750 horsepower each; they were built in 1955, 1957, and 1959 respectively. They are pulling an eastbound merchandise freight under the 24th Street Bridge.
