C1910. From the golden age of the Post Card here is a scene of the MEC station in Mechanic Falls. I belive this perspective is from the western side of the tracks. The crossing gate may be for Oak Street. To the right is the interchange with the Grand Trunk, now SL&A. The last time I was in M.C. (c2013) the station was still standing and was a small business. The railroad ROW was a town street. This building was made of grante blocks very well fashioned. /DL |
