Wrecked CMO 4-6-0 #307 - Chicago, St Paul, Minnesota & Omaha  Contributor's Pick!
Although the loco appears derailed but otherwise unscathed , its tender is in the distance upside down next to the passenger cars it must have been pulling. The loco seems to provide an excellent spot for spectator poses! The date is approximate and no photographer was listed.

Stu Nicholson General Interesting series of wreck photos: shows the dangers (back then) of passenger cars "telescoping" into one another. Al;so notice the are appears very wet, making me wonder if this was caused by a partial washout or softening of the railbed. 6/15/2014 1:04:53 PM
Fred Stuckmann General Today, folks just beat out headlights and spray paint stuff. 6/16/2014 10:47:23 AM
