Here's a typical yard switcher and crew at work in an unidentified location. Built by the CNJ shops in 1910, the camelback arrangement was a unique solution in the steam engine development. Now it looks like a strange "bird" but I find it interesting and actually pretty in a "Beauty-and-the-Beast" sort of way! Update - thanks to the comment by Daniel Pagdon (see below), I have changed the unknown location to the Elizabethport yards. |
