ATSF 5669
FRIONA TX Jan 23 1984 -- Santa Fe SD45-2 5669 speeds along the Transcon with a coal train in tow. EMD built the 5669 (s/n 72642-26) in June 1973 and delivered it in Blue with yellow warbonnet. In Feb 1986 the San Bernardion CA shops rebuilt it to an SD45-2u, painted it in SPSF colors and renumbered it to 7200. Before Jan 1 1991 it was repainted back to yellow warbonnet and renumbered 5800. It underwent maintenance at Morrison Knudsen in April 1994 and gained MKM marks below the road numbers on the cab sides. It was transferred to BNSF on Sept 22 1995 and on Feb 19 1998 it was patched and renumbered BNSF 6450.
