As seen from approximately eleven stories up, BNSF train Q-LBACLO1-19K has just crossed the Cerritos Channel via the Badger Bridge as it departs Terminal Island for its trip eastward. This typically long train has BNSF ES44AC 7916 on the headend - power is distributed two in front, and two on the rear. After threading its way through the Los Angeles basin, this train (34 rail cars, 280 containers [26 20’, 243 40’, 11 45’] for 8085 feet [including power] and 6588 tons) will be speeding across the southwestern desert within a few hours.
