| Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad E9 9994 eastbound at Naperville, Illinois on September 2, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. This locomotive was built August 1954 (c'n 19633), became Burlington Northern 9994 on March 2, 1970, was sold to the West Suburban Mass Transit District on August 8, 1972, was rebuilt by Morrison Knedusen to E9Ak specs, returned to BN rails (leased) as 9924. It pulled commuter trains until July 1992. It appears that this man enjoys his work. |
