Album Info: | Conflicting resources have made this loco a difficult one to trace. One source has this EMD switcher as being built originally for the Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway (NCSL) in 12/1941 as their #25. It merged into the L&N as 2219, then renumbered 2210. Eventually it was sold to Southern Pacific and leased to the Pacific Electric Rwy. Somewhere along the line later, it was rebuilt by EMD as a yard slug. No information was given on the backs of these two photos so the date is arbitrary. If anyone has more accurate information about this loco, please contact me. |
