CP 6018
Title:  CP 6018
Description:  I never checked to see if this is indeed a CP unit (as opposed to a CITX, NREX, etc). The 6018 was parked on the siding with a short work train as a NB grainer trundled past.

CP 6042
Title:  CP 6042
Description:  An eastbound ethanol train winds carefully downhill toward Marquette. The dynamic brakes were whining loudly, and I could hear this train coming for quite a while before this photo.

Across the way
Title:  Across the way
Description:  I was at Wyalusing State Park across the river in Wisconsin shooting the BNSF when I heard this train across the river. Even with the telephoto maxed out, this train was still pretty far away!

NREX 5542
Title:  NREX 5542
Description:  I didn't have any light left with which to shoot this train, but I have to admit- it was pretty sweet to chase this guy. Eight ponies pulling hard to climb out of the Mississippi River Valley- it was a great sound! The stretch of railroad between Marquette and Monona is no joke- nothing but hills and curves. I can't wait to come back and fan it again.
