Album Info: | The Copper Basin Railway ( CBRY ) is an Arizona short line railroad that opevates from a connection with UP at Magma to Winkleman, Az. 54 miles. The CBRYalso has a 7 mile branch line that runs from Ray Junction to Ray, Az. The Copper Ore Trains OT-1 shuttle from Ray Mine where they get lowded & dump at the smelter at Hayden, Az. & during the summer months you can catch them making 2 rnund trips from Ray Mine to Hayden, Az. a total of 4 chases counting both directions, plus a local CB-2 job that runs from Hayden to Magma, Az. There was formerly an interchange with the San Manuel Arizona Railroad at Hayden, Az. The CBRY exists primarily to serve a copper mine. L.S. Jacobson " Jake " is the President & Chief Operating Officer. In summer 2006, ASARCO Copper Corporation purchased the entire railroad. |
