Album Info:NCRC operates over 340 miles of track on 3 disconnected lines in northeastern & central Nebraska. 1 line runs from a connection with UP at Columbus to Norfolk ( 45.1 miles ) with branches from Oconee to Albion ( 34.6 miles ) & from Genoa to Sualding ( 44.5 miles ). A 2nd line runs from a UP connection at Grand Island to Ord ( 5Æ.9 miles ). The 3rd line runs from a UP connection at Central City to Brainard ) 62.7 miles ). UP has granted the company 70 miles trackage rights between Grand Island & Columbus. NCRC operates a BNSF branch line from Central City to Palmer & has trackage riggts over the BNSF from David City to Columbus. Traffic is predominantly grain with some fertilizer & scrap steel.

Description:  NCRC Northbound Freight Train doing some switching at Ord, Nebraska. I believe the NCRC 2001 to be rebuilt to either an SD38-2 or GP38-2. When I heard the locomotive running it was deturbo'd and sounded like a GP38-2 or SD38-2. Until I know for sure I'll just list it as an SD40-2 since it still has that body style
