Album Info:I finally made it down to Madison to see the Squaw Creek Southern railroad, which has been operating the former CofG between Madison and Shady Dale for almost a year now. I decided to make the trip now as the two lease units are to be sent back in a short time. The ex- CN GP38 was the first production GP38, built as DT&I 200 so i had to get a shot of it before it was sent back to the leaser. Upon arriving in Madison i found the CSX local switcher A722 in a siding east of town, however as i pulled up the engine headed east, so i chased him down to the depot, where he pulled to a stop in front of the parked Squaw Creek power. After Y722 left town the Squaw Creek fired up its engines to switch the Penn Pak feedmill just east of downtown, then running back to the depot light. Thanks guys for the hospitality, i had a great time.
