Its route traverses the heart of Southern Indiana's bituminous coal fields & corn belt & positions it to serve multiple steam electric generating stations. ISRR will also serve a new coal gasification plant under construction as well as increasing its participation in the expanding market for Illinois Basin Coal. ISRR interchanges traffic with INRD, CSXT, & NS. In addition to coal, ISRR predominantly transports agricultural commodities. |
