Album Info: | The photos in this album cover CSX rail activity at Harpers Ferry, West Virginia on the morning of Friday November 10th 2006. The first two photos show the two railroad bridges over the Potomac River from the W.Va. side looking time table east into Maryland. The tunnel where the Junction is located is under Maryland Heights the crest of which is accessed by a hiking trail. The view looking southwest form the Heights provides a view of 2 rail lines. The bridge to the left, in the views from the summit, carry the tracks of the Valley Line which parallels the Shenandoah River. The newer two track bridge to the right carries the main line west from Brunswick to Cumberland. For additional Harpers Ferry photos see my folder Harpers Ferry Oct 2005 which has a series of photos of the Valley Line bridge thru the park.
