| Album Info: | Pan Am Railways, about to become part of CSX on June 1st operated it's final OCS with executives and board members riding. The train ran from Portland, ME to Mechanicville, NY. I intercepted the OCS in Shirley, MA and chased it the rest of the way to Mechanicville. I was able to photograph it in multiple locations. It was a good chase, but also a bittersweet one for me as it heralds the end of one of my favorite regional railroads to railfan. I'm hoping the successor on this particular line, Berkshire & Eastern, a Genesee & Wyoming affiliated railroad, runs daylight freights over this highly scenic route. |
