| Album Info: | Topeka's really, really, close to Lawrence, so it was only a matter of time before I got there. Good thing I did, too! There's a 2-6-2 Prairie Type Santa Fe steam engine in Watson Park, a former Santa Fe depot that's now an Amtrak station, and a former Union Pacific depot that now sees LOTS of trains daily. I saw it all on my day in Lawrence, and you can too! The Union Pacific station is now a visitors center; great place to watch trains from if you are ever in town. Enjoy! |
