One of the nicest places to watch trains in Missouri would have to be the Amtrak station at Lee's Summit. A nice suburb of Kansas City, the station is walking distance from plenty of shops and restaurants. Parking is never an issue on Saturdays, and Amtrak stops here 4 times a day. Except this day...flooding had resulted in a temporary suspension of Amtrak service...but I still caught 2 UP freights this particular afternoon. Enjoy! |
