| Album Info: | Here are the front cover and a 17-page version of the Pennsylvania Railroad's 13-page booklet entitled "Altoona Shops Inspection Trip ~ Sunday, May 16, 1937." They appeared in the September 1981 issue of "The Keystone" magazine, pages 4-20.
All of the photos were taken during the Inspection Trip and, as such, were not part of the original booklet.
"With over 1,800 railroad fans and enthusiasts from Philadelphia, New York, Newark, Harrisburg, Wilmington, Baltimore, Washington, Pittsburgh, and Chicago in attendance, one of the biggest, longest, and fastest 'Off the Beaten Track' excursions in the history of these unique railroad trips was operated by the Pennsylvania Railroad on Sunday, May 16, 1937."
