Album Info:Here are the front cover and a five-page cover article by Mr. Frederick Westing entitled "What's New Under Pennsy Pantographs." They were published originally in the June 1958 issue of "Trains" magazine, pages 45-49. "Between Philadelphia, Bryn Mawr, and Paoli of the hilly electrified line on the Pennsylvania are prominent grades on which westbound trains climb upward for about 20 miles. From way back, this has always been helper and pusher territory. Another grade that hits westbound traffic is the one between Thorndale and Parkesburg. At any of these spots and as far west as Columbia, Pa., the FF-2's can be seen in pusher and helper activities." (Page 49) Also included is a photo of Great Northern engine #5014 that was taken while in transit to Altoona.
