After passing me at Pecan Street, L-HEHE slowed and came to a halt about 1/2 mile past me and behind a gas station / quik-e-mart. I relocated to get more head end shots and as I was moving, the conductor swung down and trotted over to the quik-e-mart.
After a few minutes later, he came out and trotted back to the locomotive with some drinks and snacks.
I don't think the GP60 was factory equipped with a mini-fridge, so I guess that's one way to have a fresh meal and cold beverages on a hot Texas afternoon while on duty!
