Album Info:On Wednesday Feb 24th, the curtain came down on the famed KCS Tidewater Turn job based in Sulphur Springs, TX. For nearly four decades the job primarily hauled lignite coal from Thermo Mine outside Sulphur Springs for delivery to Monticello Power Plant. The legendary fleet of KCS F units brought national attention to this job in the late 1970's and early 1980's. Today's final movement was handled by a pair of late model six axle motors - - times have changed. This album is being shared in black and white as it tends to be more dramatic, and I felt it was quite appropriate.
